21 Day Fast Towards Divine Nature

Day 9 Fasting your little prayers. Mark 11:20-26

The Psalmist says: As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the Lord surrounds His people. The truth is Jerusalem is surrounded by mountains on all sides, stately and majestic in all her beauty. So when Jesus uses them as an object lesson everyone understood. He was teaching them the lesson to pray big, you know cast one of these mountains into the sea. This big prayer took big faith, the problem was His disciples like many of us had settled for small prayers. 

Small prayers like Lord heal Aunt Marthas lumbago or cousin Eddie’s every day common cold. Jesus was teaching them and us the lesson of learning to pray big prayers, like stopping wars, and shutting down viruses, healing of cancer and toppling of Demonic strongholds. I have a great book in my library entitled, “Your God is Too Small”, a great book with a great challenge. Today is a good day to fast little prayers, lift up your eyes to the skies, observe how big your God is, open your mouth engage your faith and cast a mountain or two into the sea.
