At Chestnut Street Community Church we encourage a casual come as you are atmosphere focused on worshipping God and enjoying one anothers fellowship. There is no need for high fashion or suits and ties (although acceptable if that is your preference ). It is not important what you wear to church just that you are in church. We come to meet God, hang out with His children, be taught, be encouraged and to be lifted up, so come as you are…..see you when you get here.
We see worship as much more than just singing songs, but instead a journey to the heart of God. Worship is to be an intimate time before God’s throne, losing ourselves in Him, and being changed into His likeness. We encourage worshippers to engage God however they feel comfortable. That may be with lifted hands and vocal praise, or quietly sitting in your chair communing with your Lord. Worship is not so much a state of art, but instead a state of the heart. We desire to worship God in spirit and truth, so please join us in our journey to the throne.
Children’s Discipleship is a ministry of the church that fosters a love for God in children. Its purpose is to establish a solid foundation of the Godhead- Father, Son and Holy Spirit, which ultimately leads to their Salvation. The Ministry is grounded in scripture and uses multiple avenues to reach, teach and engage children in learning about and living the benefits of serving God in their youth.
We are blessed to have a unique and diverse preaching team here at Chestnut Street Community Church. Each preacher has his or her own style and gift set, but all of them are committed to Bible-Based messages prepared to encourage, teach and challenge the members. On any given Sunday you may hear humor, poetry, drama, or straight ahead fire preaching, but all presented with love and passion for God and His people. Not only are the messages presented at Sunday morning service, they are also live streamed on Facebook and Instagram and may be viewed again during the week or whenever you may chose. Come enjoy, learn and be encouraged.
