Disrupters, Posers, and the Unaware
In this powerful sermon from Acts 19, Pastor Art Snow challenges the congregation to reject passivity and step into the spiritual authority given by Christ. Beginning with Paul’s entrance into the city of Ephesus—a place filled with idolatry, prostitution, and demonic influence—Art categorizes people into three groups: disrupters, posers, and the unaware. He contrasts Paul’s Holy Spirit-filled disruption with the powerless imitation of the seven sons of Sceva and highlights the city’s reaction when economic interests were threatened. The message calls believers to become disrupters in their own cities by identifying spiritual darkness and taking authority over it. Pastor Art also emphasizes the need to live with spiritual awareness, praying against strongholds, rejecting cultural numbness, and living out our ambassadorship with boldness and truth.
